Eco Clean QLD is an owner-operated house cleaning business in Brisbane. Until October 2026 its website was made with a hosting provider's site builder. WebAktive replaced it with a new website, live on ecocleanqld.com.au since 15 October 2026, and with the parts behind it: a quote form, enquiry emails and a small back office for the owner.
The goal: let people see who they are inviting in
House cleaning is a service people let into their home. When one person runs the business, a client is choosing that person as much as the service. The previous site said as much in its first line, "I personally provideā¦", but the page around it showed a stock photo and offered residential and office cleaning side by side.
The new site set out to do three things. Show the owner and the real work. Make a quote request quick, while giving the owner what is needed to price the job. And give each service a page of its own that people can find in search and that AI assistants can quote correctly.
Residential cleaning, one service at a time
The new site concentrates on residential cleaning: regular weekly or fortnightly cleans, deep cleans, one-off cleans, Airbnb turnovers and move-in cleans, each with its own page. Office cleaning, end-of-lease cleaning and claims the business could not back up did not carry over.
Pricing is explained the way the owner works: by the hour, with a two-hour minimum and extras quoted separately. Every client's first visit is a deep clean, and the site says so wherever a price comes up.
Real photos instead of stock
WebAktive planned a photo shoot with a room-by-room shot list: the light, the colours, what to keep out of frame, and which shots the site needed first. The first build used stock images as placeholders; the photos of the owner at work, retouched for the web, replaced them.
Inner pages open with a plain colour header that carries the title and the key facts. The photos sit in the content at their own proportions instead of being cropped into banners.
A quote form that asks what the job needs
Every "Get a quote" link opens the same form over the current page, or as a full-screen sheet on a phone, with the service already chosen when the link knows it. Five steps ask for the service, the home, its size, the timing and the contact details. Extras such as an oven or fridge clean are ticked on the last step.
From the answers the form works out an indicative estimate in hours and a price range, based on the owner's own rates and timings. It is not shown on screen. It goes to the customer in the confirmation email, and the owner sees the same figure in the enquiry alert. Scope and price are confirmed before anything is booked.
What happens after someone presses send
The enquiry is saved first. Only then does the owner get an email alert with the request and the estimate, and the customer a confirmation from the business's own address. If the confirmation cannot be delivered, the alert still goes out. If a phone loses its connection and sends again, the owner gets one enquiry, not two.
Behind its own sign-in, the owner has a back office: the list of enquiries, and a job log with the day, the total, the hourly rate, where the job came from (Google, Airtasker or elsewhere), fuel and a helper's pay. It adds up the month and the Australian financial year, what is left after costs, and the takings by source.
Reviews that were already there
Before the relaunch the owner had collected 24 reviews on Airtasker, all of them five stars. The site shows all 24, word for word, in a carousel on every page, marked as Airtasker reviews and linked to the profile. The ABN and the insurance certificate are published as well.
Findable service by service, and measured from the first enquiry
Each service, the cleaning extras, the service areas, pricing, how it works and the FAQ have their own page, with their own title, description and structured data, listed in a sitemap. The answers are written plainly, covering what a clean includes, the minimum booking and what is quoted separately, so that search engines and AI assistants can repeat them correctly.
For Google Ads, a lead counts only once the enquiry has been saved, so a failed or repeated submission is never reported as a conversion. Calls from the phone number on the site are counted too, and the number stays the business's own. The site runs on Cloudflare, and the enquiry emails go out from the business's address on its own domain.
Results so far
The new site has been live since 15 October 2026. That is too early for traffic, enquiry or ranking figures, and this page does not offer any. When there are figures and the client releases them, they will be added here with their source and period.
What transfers to other businesses
When one person is the service, show that person, the real work and what clients said. A quote form should ask what is needed to price the job and nothing more. And the part nobody sees, a saved enquiry, two emails and a record of jobs, decides whether a good page turns into booked work.
